Where I've Been

Hey! It sure has been a while, hasn't it? Genuinely I've been meaning to write this so many times over the past few months, just to keep things going and updated, turns out I've been so busy recently that that kinda just hasn't happened haha. Either way I've just been busy both figuring myself out and doing life events. real "this cutscene can't be skipped" level stuff.

Figuring Stuff Out

So the main one is I dropped out of uni, WELL I'm in the midst of dropping out of uni. I was doing a bachelors in Cyber security but it was literally taking everything out of me and making my life a living hell. So I made the genuinely quite easy option to just not go back when things opened up for this year.

Also I've been working on my transition, hard to do in a household and family that doesn't support you, BUT there's a chance something might be coming in the next few months that could really help with that. The problem there is obviously other than the ridiculous NHS wait times I either have the choice of private (expensive) or DIY (slightly trickier) so I'll have to think long and hard about that.

I also need to come to terms with how much I dislike my body as doing some thrift shopping with some friends on a recent trip to Portland really made me realise I can't wear skirts/dresses because I hate how my body looks in them. I'm still thinking about the first dress I tried on, it was really cute and I understand how I could have made it work, but I discounted it far too quickly because of how MY body was visible and I hated it haha. Did get some sweet ass jeans from it though.

What I've Been Up To

Other than self reflection I've been working my job, still loving it and the people I work with, I'm currently in the middle of working on a couple projects there too!

Personal projects took a bit of a step back while I was working on my whole "figuring myself out" portion, so basically nothing has been done in that regard. Still have ideas, still working on shit in the background super slowly!

I've also been reading! Most recent read was Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, with footnotes by Carmen Maria Machado. Real good book, absolutely worth the read if you like pre Stoker vampires and lesbianism!
